What is your toughest challenge?
Is it a subject at school?
Is it getting along with someone? (No names, please!)
Do you have a hard time spending time with the Lord each
day? Most people struggle with that one and have to work very hard to be
consistent.
How much do you believe in that you can reach your dreams
and have your heart's desire.
How many people have gotten to the ends of the lives – and
then looked back at their days and saw a list of things that they didn't do
because they feared the would fail.
What are you avoiding because it seems out of the question –
but you WOULD do if you were 100 percent certain that you would succeed?
The way you will be able to accomplish the difficult
subjects in high school (and college), get along with the jerk in the dorm next
to yours who plays his stereo at 2AM; how you will forgive your friend who told
lies about you; the way you will overcome the besetting sin that seems great
for a little while but sucks the life out of you later – you'll do these things
when the power of God is what powers your life.
That only happens when you understand that the way you succeed begins on
your knees with your Bible open and on your face giving yourself over to much
prayer.
This verse tells you how you will be able to have a
successful Christian life. It begins
with the assumption that you see that you are powerless to do anything good on
your own.
Jeremiah 32:27 says, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all
flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?”
With the Lord Jesus as master of your life, you have the
benefit of HIS strength winning your battles, overcoming your sins, and
umpiring your relationships.
